Among the places that are interesting in this town are, Taiping Zoo, Maxwell Hill, Taiping Prison, Taiping Lake Garden and many more. And for food hunters, Taiping was also a food heaven. Before this, I had reviewed one famous Cendol in Taiping, you may read it here: Cendol Bismillah, Taiping.

Restoran Haji Sharin Low Grand are very well known restaurant that served Chinese Muslim Cuisine. According to the paper cutting that they hang at the restaurant wall, they already have 7 branches in Malaysia. So, this one in Ipoh was one of their branches and I think they had made a good decision, coz Ipoh have quite a big Chinese community, and I presume that there are a lot of Chinese Muslim folks here and a pure Malay Muslim like me who’d loves to have Halal Chinese food~

Have I said to you that I love Chinese Food so much? Well, yes, but somehow halal Chinese Food was quite hard to find because, as you already know, Chinese food often to contained pork in their ingredients, so I have to be careful. Thus, I continue my journey to find the Best Halal Chinese Food in Malaysia. Lucky me that there are some folks who are a Chinese Muslim that had doing some food business in Malaysia. I had made a review about some of them here: Halal Dim Sum @ Jom Cari Makan Restaurant, Damansara and Restoran Cina Muslim Al-Munawarah @ Seksyen 9, Shah Alam.

This time, still, I want to share another good place to have your breakfast in Ipoh, just to make you confuse which one you should go~ =P

To me, this restaurant is quite unique and worth to be review because they have plenty of choices on their menu which is for a breakfast only (I will list out menu later). So me and my family frequently go to this restaurant to have our breakfast, if we don’t know what to eat that morning~

Salam, Hello Brotha’ and Sista’!!

Vanakam!! Okay, today I’m gonna blog another cool restaurant in Ipoh, Perak. Well this restaurant had established in Ipoh for a long time, I wonder whether they have any other branch or not~

If you craving for some Halal Indian food, I recommend you this place. Well, actually it is quite easy to find any Halal Indian food here in Malaysia because most Indian food don’t contain pork or alcohol, however you still need to be careful as the beef still need to be slaughtered according to syara’ right?! Anyway, for this restaurant I believed it was safe/halal because I heard the owner was a Muslim.

But yeah, some of the menu was quite the same with KFC menu~ I will show you the picture later.

Sizzling Chicken Teriyaki Fried Rice @ Kafe Impiana, Seri Iskandar.

Salam~

Do you love Chicken Teriyaki? Or have you ever heard about it before? For me, I love Chicken Teriyaki, I love the sweetness of the dish. When I had the Roasted Chicken Teriyaki at Jaya Jusco Bukit Tinggi Mall for the first time, I was like…Wow!! That was good~

But, be careful of Non-Halal Teriyaki Sauce.

I must precaution you that there are danger of Teriyaki marinade product at the market, as it may contain wine as their ingredient. The label of Teriyaki marinade product that I had identified to contain wine is Kikkoman which is sold at Tesco Hypermarket Malaysia. It was located at open shelf (in Tesco Extra Ipoh, but it may be mistakenly put there), so please be very careful guys, please check the ingredient first before you buy.

Restoran Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung @ Jalan Ali Pitchay, Ipoh.

or in English, Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung Restaurant @ Ali Pitchay Road, Ipoh Perak.

DSCN1701

Ok this time I want to blog to you about one more good food in Ipoh for you to try. Ipoh is the hometown of Perak. It has a lot of good food for the food-lovers to explore. I was unable to explore all the good halal food here, but someday will do it, InsyaAllah.

Anyway, for this restaurant, I really impressed with the variety of the food available. If you look at the menu, there are plenty of food to try for, from Local to Western food.

But the signature dish of this Restaurant is Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung, as it’s name. So, I come here to taste how good it is. Before that, for you who don’t know what is Ayam Kampung is, literally it means “Village Chicken” but the terms is use for the chicken which is not breed in a farm, where it had been given some antidote or some scientific medication. Ayam Kampung will stay virgin and natural without any modern injection or medication.

My Verdict.

Food: Sorry to say it, I think the Nasi Lemak was not good enough to impress me. But not the Ayam Kampung. I really don’t know the real taste of Ayam Kampung, so for me it’s was just OKAY, not more nor less. I’ve go for better Nasi Lemak before, so this restaurant in not meeting my standard.

However, remember this, this is merely my personal opinion about the Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung menu, so don’t trust me too much, I’m not a professional food taster anyway.

And, I did think the other food in this restaurant is quite amazing. For example the Eel Soup, Chicken Chop (quite good) and Nasi Goreng Kampung. The Menu here are quite big, so there are plenty of choices you could try.

There are also some Bubur Manis (Sweet Porridge) and Seafood.

Environment: I WOWed at this restaurant environment. It was big and comfortable. And it’s air-conditioned, but you may choose to go for open air in front of the restaurant.

Price: It’s a bit pricey for the Ipohrians I guess? But this time I’m not very sure, you’lll need to go yourself and decide ok? To me, the Nasi Lemak  Ayam Kampung is a bit pricey, but maybe because it’s using Ayam Kampung.

A bit info about this restaurant:

– It’s only open from 4.30pm till 2.00am only. So you will only able to go for dinner and supper only.

– This restaurant is located at Jalan Yang Kalsom, near the famous Nasi Vanggey and Nasi Ganja stall.

Anyway, enough talk, enjoy the picture taken after the break.
