Restoran Apong D’Hilir @ Teluk Intan, Perak

Salam,

Teluk Intan is one of the big town in Perak where it consists of some historical sites of British occupation in Perak once upon a time ago, among others is the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan. The town itself located at the side of the infamous Sungai Perak (Perak River).

I think most people already know about this restaurant, at least it is very famous among local people of Teluk Intan and this restaurant is actually a floating restaurant is located on Sungai Perak. So you really can see and feel it is floating on the river while eating there, for me, its a great experience.

The food is nice, I tried their signature dish which is Udang Galah (Giant Freshwater Prawn) which is cooked with chili. Other side dish I took is Omelette and Kai-Lan cook with salted fish. Overall it is good plus the experience you having eating on a floating restaurant.

UNFORTUNATELY THIS STALL HAD DISCONTINUED THEIR BUSINESS

Salam,

Nins Cabin Cafe is a fusion food cafe located at the heart of Ipoh town near the Padang Ipoh (Ipoh Field). This cafe served range of dishes from brunch to dinner. Price:- Affordable.

Environment:- Cafe are clean. Service, sometimes, a bit slow, especially during peak hour. But rarely to happened. Waiters are friendly~

House Restaurant @ Ipoh Town

UNFORTUNATELY THIS RESTAURANT HAD DISCONTINUED THEIR BUSINESS

Salam,

Albeit lack of promotion (as I couldn’t find any in social media), this restaurant was able to attract me and any other people of Ipoh. Before I went here, I saw a lot of people at this restaurant which makes me wonder what’s so special about it.

From the outside, you can see that the decoration was nicely done and the restaurant was well lighted. There is a place for you to dine outside if you prefer open air environment whereby the restaurant is air-conditioned inside. Upon entering, this restaurant amazed me with its interior and decoration.

Pak Long Cafe @ Ipoh Town

UNFORTUNATELY THIS RESTAURANT HAD DISCONTINUED THEIR BUSINESS

Salam,

The name of this cafe is quite unique as it means “the eldest uncle”. Though quite new in the arena of Hipsters Cafe in Ipoh, this little cafe is air-conditioned and well decorated.

I personally prefer a cafe to be air conditioned and cozy. I dont know why but I always see that a cafe is a good place to hang out with your friends and to have a long good chit chating. At the time when I came here, the cafe is ready to wrap up for that day and it is still new, so the menu is a little bit limited, so we just order what they have.

Gopeng Guesthouse & Cafe @ Gopeng Town

Salam,

Small town of Gopeng, Perak is an old town where it is previously known for their tin mining industries. After the dawn of tin mining activities in Malaysia, it has become quite a ghost town. But recently, this town is brought back to life when the government of Perak started to promote this town for their adventure activities. A lot of foreigners and locals who likes some adventure will come here for some outdoors activities such as kayaking, hiking, abseiling, and many more.

Maggie Ketam Sham @ Meru Height, Ipoh

Salam,

I guess most of us loves instant mee aren’t we? So, what if the glorious instant mee is being modified to make is better? Owh well I think it will taste like the food from the heaven.

Meggi Ketam I think is quite famous in Kelantan at food court near Pantai Cahaya Bulan. But the one I’m going to review now is at my hometown which is Meru, Ipoh specifically in Meru Height and it’s just a small stall in the housing area. This stall I think they only serves Meggi Ketam (Crab Maggie / Crab Instant Mee) and Meggi Udang (Prawn Meggie / Prawn Instant Mee) in their menu. Quite limited, but if that is their specialities, I don’t see why not.

Mc’ Kylauss Western Food @ Sg. Kati Western Food & Burger, Kg. Manjoi, Ipoh.

Salam,

You’ll never believe where is this restaurant situated, it is located in suburbs of Ipoh known as Gugusan Manjoi – A malay traditional village within Kinta Valley.

I believe that Sg. Kati Western Food & Burger was established quite a long time ago, even before hipsters café came into existence and become a thing, but due to it’s location, people rarely know their existence except for Manjoi’s people.
