Ikan Bakar @ Jalan Bellamy, Kuala Lumpur

or in English, Grilled Fish @ Bellamy Road, Kuala Lumpur.

Actually for this review we go for the Gerai Sri Menanti as we don’t know which is the best. There are several stalls selling ikan bakar. However, I did not said it was a big mistake right? Will give my opinion later.

The restaurant was located very near the Istana Negara (Malaysia King Palace). It was the first restaurant among others. Detail location below.

Ok, so how was the rating. I’ve notice many food bloggers have reviewed and gives opinions on this restaurant. But nevermind, every person have their own opinion rite? And this is just a small review for me to complete the food journey of mine.

For me, the food is good. The fish was nicely grilled. Then served with nice sambal. Overall it was good. There are variety of fish available also, and that you need to come here by urself okay. The environment, nice. Well neat. Price, okay. Not too expensive, normal price. I forgot the real price, mainly for the ikan bakar, it depends on the fish market price.

Anyway, done with my rating, let see the pictures taken: Continue reading

Ayam Penyet RM5 @ Padang Jawa

or in English Smashed chicken RM 5 @ Padang Jawa, Selangor.
Wow!! I really was firstly amazed with this restaurant. Didn’t expect that such place could have such a nice restaurant.

Ayam Penyet is quite a famous dishes now in Malaysia. It was dishes came from Indonesia. Before this, I have made one review about this from another restaurant,
Ayam Penyet – AP and Restoran Simpang Tiga, Ipoh that served Indonesia food.

So, why I said that I’m not expecting such restaurant in that place before? Because the place can be said quite isolated from town. It’s called Kampung Padang Jawa. This place is mostly occupied by the squatters. However, don’t judge the place by the words I said, you need to come first and see it. The restaurant condition is good.

Well, the food is good. What most important that it is Halal as all the workers and owner are Muslim and they are Indonesian. But the sambal is quite different from other Ayam Penyet restaurants such as Ayam Penyet – AP, Restoran Ayam Penyet or Ayam Penyet Ria. I think it taste like shrimp paste had been put. Just to warn you who had sinus problem, you may allergy for this.

The environment is nice, averagely clean. Price is good compared to others ie. Ayam Penyet – AP or Ayam Penyet Ria. The price will be given below. Anyway, overall gave 3 stars for them. The service is quite slow when many people around. Its open from 9 to late night. All the time the Ayam Penyet were be available.

Neway, enjoy the picture after read more. Continue reading

Char Kway Teow Penang @ Restoran Sani, Seksyen 7 Shah Alam.

or in English Penang Char Koay Teow @ Sani Restaurant, Section 7, Shah Alam.
Hello~ Okay, this maybe only a short review for ya because this restaurant speciality is only limited to their Penang Char Koay Teow, so I don’t have much to say I think.

Sani Char Koay Teow

This place is located at Section 7 Shah Alam near Indian school or Pusat Komersial (Commercial Centre). It has like a small row of shops there. The map will be given later on this post.

About the rating, for me, the food is good. The Char Koay Teow is VERY GOOD!!. The prawn quite big and fresh. YUMM, YUMM. Seriously. But to me lah, I don’t know for you. But it’s good to try for. The Price is reasonable, it was divided based on sizes. Normal RM 3, Big RM 4 and Special RM 5. The place is well neat. Just a normal small restaurant. Anyway, lets just go to food-toshot~

Bistro Qaseh @ Seksyen 13, Shah Alam.

Hello, this time I want to review one good restaurant for you to try on. For us who lived in Shah Alam we frequently have a problem in finding good and ‘unusual’ restaurant to go around this area. Sometimes it is quite boring to eat at the same food spot all the time.

Before this, I had reviewed some food spot around Shah Alam, but that is the past, lets find new one. So I’ve found one, Qaseh Bistro or Bistro Qaseh, or what ever you want to call it. And this time I have a big menu to tell to.

top Ok, this restaurant is special, all their decorations are based on love theme. I don’t know why but maybe that’s their speciality. Nvrmd anyway, lets focused to the food.
Ok, the food, is good~ really, for their seafood grill. It’s really nice to be try to. Enjoy the food-toshot after the break. I really recommend the seafood grill. The price? Reasonable. Look at the picture urself, too lazy to list it out~ Environment of the restaurant is very comfortable. The location of the restaurant is located near the Les’ Copaque who’d made the Upin dan Ipin movie. Map below.

Ayam Penyet @ Ayam Penyet – AP, SS15/4 Subang Jaya.

or in English Smashed Chicken @ Ayam Penyet – AP.

logo3 Yeah, before this I had reviewed one famous Indonesian food restaurant in Ipoh, Perak here. This time I want to review other Indonesian famous food which is known as Ayam Penyet or Smashed Chicken. I’m not sure about the origin of the food in Indonesia, but what I know the food is good and it was available in Malaysia. But there are various restaurant that serve it as their speciality like this Ayam Penyet – AP Restaurant, Waroeng Penyet, Ayam Penyet Ria, Restaurant Ayam Penyet, etc and I will review the others later.

Ok, lets go straight to the point, what is best about the Ayam Penyet? To me, I like it because of the contour of the chicken is very soft and light. I like the sambal also although it was very hot and spicy. Based on my knowledge, the chicken had been smashed first before being cook. That cause the meat to be very soft.

Breakfast with Roti Canai @ Gembira Restaurant.

Roti Canai is one of Malaysian favourite food. It’s made from flour like a bread or bun. It taste vey delicious when it’s crispy and eat with a “sambal”. Here in Shah Alam there are a lot of Mamak restaurant that sell Roti Canai. Maybe some of you liked it and maybe some are not. There are one restaurant that sells Roti Canai and it’s a Malay Restaurant. The name of the Restaurant is “Gembira” or Happiness.

Here the Roti Canai is quite good. Besides that, this restaurant also have the specialty of good Nasi Lemak. As they contended, they was established from 1980. So it must be good. That day, I’m not eating their Nasi Lemak, so no picture of it. But trust me, it’s good, I’ve tried it.

Here the sneak peak of the Roti Canai:
