Documenting My Journey~

Nasi Kukus, RZ Restaurant & Catering @ Pusat Komersial Seksyen 7, Shah Alam.

Salam,

I don’t know what is so special about Nasi Kukus (Steamed Rice), but I kinda like it. Maybe because I’m a foodie so I eat anything *not literally anything*, as long as it is halal.

The food actually is really a simple one. It’s like Nasi Lemak, but the rice is not made/cooked with cocunut milk. And it was steamed. The rice comes with some chicken/beef curry, sambal belacan (Malay Paste) and slices of cucumber. You are recommended to add some add-on like Keropok Ikan (Fish Cracker) & Ayam Goreng Rempah (Fried Chicken with Spice).

My Verdict:-

Food: The Nasi Kukus with Ayam Goreng Berempah is good. But the portion might be quite small for some people. Recommended combination: Nasi Kukus + Ayam Rempah + come Chicken/Beef curry + Keropok Ikan.

Price: Affordable.

Environment: Normal Malay restaurant. Cleanliness is okay.

Other additional details: Normally the Nasi Kukus start selling at 3 PM. This stall also served normal lunch. But I will not cover that this time, it for you to explore it, perhaps.

Anyway, enjoy the picture below! :nari:

This is what I took. I don’t put the keropok ikan because I thought it will look messy in my photo.

  1. I love Nasi Kukus. Fell in love with it the first time I tried it.

Normally, I would add-on some curry and the ayam goreng rempah but I would omit the sambal belacan (cause I can’t stand spicy that well). Didn’t realize that we can add-on the keropok.

Would try it with the keropok some day.

    • I love the sambal belacan. LOL. anyway, I think the keropok is the new addition, bcoz I think I didn’t see it before too until the day I came to review the restaurant.
