Korean Style BBQ @ Seoul Garden Restaurant

Salam Dear Readers~

Photo0163

Haha~ I purposely put my best friend picture on top of this post, just to promote him to the readers, he’s still single you know~hehe :lalala1:

Anyway, Hello and welcome again to all readers!! After quite a long time not posting to this blog, I finally have the time to write. As I had mentioned before in my post, I had an examination to go through and now I’m free plus, I will have a holidays for about 3 month!! Yeayy!! But most probably I will have to do a part time while waiting for a new semester to start, so before I start to get busy with the work, I shall publish some of interesting food spot I had go before.

Orait, this time I want to tell you one quite famous food spot in Selangor (I’m not sure whether they have branches in other state). The restaurant served Korean style barbeque foods but in a very unique way. This restaurant is very famous in Selangor, so I’m very sure that many of you had go to the restaurant. I just blog this for my reference in future~hehe *please don’t be mad at me for posting a boring food spot* huhu~

The front view of the restaurant at One Utama, Damansara branch.

Why it is so unique?

First, because it is a buffet All-You-Can-Eat restaurant. There are so many of choices here. At first, I don’t know where to start.

Second, it’s a Cook-It-Yourself BBQ restaurant. So they only serve raw food then you need to cooked it. I’ll show you the picture below.
To me this is quite unique because we rarely see this style of restaurant around.

My Verdict on this restaurant.

Food: Nice~ I love the variety of it.

Environment: Very Comfortable and I like the uniqueness on how we need to grill the food by our self. The style is copied from the Korean BBQ stall.

Price: To me, for a buffet with such amount of variety of foods, it is very reasonable.

The price for us 2 person, is MYR 87.70. Divide by 2, it’s MYR 43.85 per person. Remind you this is a dinner set, it is more expensive than lunch. And the price is plus the free flow drinks also.

For students, the price is different depends on what day you come. If you come on weekdays, the price is cheaper. From the price signboard, for lunch you may get MYR 22.88 and for dinner MYR 28.88. Just to remind you this price is not including tax and free flow drinks.

You need to add MYR 3.99 for free flow or refillable drinks.

The restaurant operating hours are also different from what days you come:

Sunday – Thursday: Lunch is from 11.30am till 3.59pm.

Dinner is from 4.00 pm till 10.00pm.

Friday – Saturday: Lunch is from 11.30am till 3.59pm.

Dinner is from 4.00 pm till 10.30pm.

Restaurant Outlets.

1) Klang Valley: 1 Utama Shopping Centre (The one I go for this review), Plaza Pantai, IOI Mall.

2) Penang: Plaza Gurney, Auto City (Perai)

3) Malacca: Mahkota Parade.

4) Johor Bahru: City Square, KSL city.

* All are Halal certified except for Auto city branch where the certification is still in process.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures after the break~~

More Ayam Penyet @ Wong Solo Restaurant, Shah Alam.

in Malay, Lagi-lagi Ayam Penyet @ Restoran Wong Solo, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam.

Salam,

Ok this is just a quick and simple update, before I’m going to focus on my studies since the examination is around the corner. After this I will not updating this blog until my examination ends, which expected to be on the middle of May.

Anyway, this time I would like to share one more good Ayam Penyet restaurant for ya in Shah Alam. Some of my friends, who become very addicted with this dishes until they want to eat this food everyday!!! I also don’t know why they like Ayam Penyet so much~huhu.

restaurant front view

The front view

This shop looks like it served authentic Indonesian foods in affordable price. To me, this restaurant is just-another-Indonesian-foods-restaurant. The only uniqueness is they offer quite a variety of Indonesian dishes.

Conclusion

Food: Quite Nice. But for me I thinks it just normal. The sambal is not very good for me. Seriously I don’t understand why some of my friends really love the Ayam Penyet here.

Anyhow, I had failed to try other dishes, I will do it later when I come again in future. From what I see on the menu there are sets for Ayam Bakar (Bako!!!), Bakso and other Indonesian signature dishes.

Environment: Just a typical normal restaurant for me. But there are some uniqueness, they offer a section where people can eat by sitting on the floor (like the Japanese style).

Price: Hurm, dunno what to say, you judge yourself. For the price of RM10.50 you get a set of Ayam Penyet with rice (see picture after read me) plus one small Mineral water. I think it was quite a reasonable price.

Anyway, nothing to babbling anymore, just enjoy the picture after the break.

p/s: Location map and GPS coordinate at the end of the post.

Yazid Steak House @ Damansara Uptown, Damansara Utama (SS21).

Salam,

Yup, before this I had review one stall in this place that also served Western dishes, you may refer that post here. But I think, that stall is not so special compared to what I will review this time. The main difference about this stall compared to the previous stall is that, this stall served the steak in sizzling way (by using hotplate). This bring the uniqueness in the food. But, later I will served you the picture~ :muahh1:

The Stall View

Anyway, I quite like this stall foods because of it’s uniqueness. The taste also not bad. But there are lack of seats here, sometimes on the weekends, it was hard to find a table. Maybe because there are 2 good steak stall here. Because this stall is near to Lanun or Pirate Steakhouse, another favourable steakhouse here in Damansara Uptown. But I may review about it later.

So here is my conclusion on this stall.

Food: Nice, Unique and Tasty~Me likey~I prefer grilled Chicken Chop rather that being deep fried.

Environment: Open food court, Comfortable, but sometimes when you come in weekend it was hard to find a sit. But they used “free seats” here, means you can seat anywhere and order on any stall.

Price: Very reasonable for a price of western dishes. Most of the price is below RM10.

So, that’s all, location map at the end of the post, click “Eat More” to view the “mouth watering” photo~ :hehehe1:

Restoran Sri Utara Sup Power @ Seksyen 3 Shah Alam.

or in English, Sri Utara Sup Power Restaurant @ Section 3 Shah Alam.

Salam,

Urgh, I’m sooo lazy to update my blog~huhu. Slap myself to remind the head that “Without an effort, you will not succeed” or in other words “No Pain, No Gain~”. Henniwei, this time, I want to blog about one famous Northern dishes, Soup. It’s just not a plain soup obviously, there are Chicken Soup (Not like the English style chicken soup, see the image later), Cow Meat Soup, Cow Stomach Soup and etc. Sorry if my translation of the menu are wrong, I literally translate them. Please comment for better translation~=)

The Kitchen

Anyway, if you came to Shah Alam, the most famous Northern Soup will be the restaurant named Ani Sup Utara. That restaurant is quite expensive compared to this. So this is an alternative to that restaurant. Anyway, I will blog about that restaurant later.

Straight to the point as I intended this to be just a short and simple post, this is my verdict on this restaurant.

FOOD: It was amazingly delicious. Not only me liked it, but also my friends. The menu looks same like Restaurant Ani Sup Utara menu, but Ani Sup had more bigger menu. For example, they have Nasi Sup Set (you may choose different kind of soup per set) which also available in Ani Sup Utara restaurant.

Food I recommend: Nasi Ayam (Chicken Rice), Bihun Sup Ayam Goreng (Mee Hoon Soup with Fried Chicken) and Moi Ayam/Daging (Moi, Kedahrian’s food).

ENVIRONMENT: Erm, typical small stall in Malaysia. But I really think they should enlarge their shop. Sometimes during lunch time they don’t have enough place for the customer.

PRICE: Affordable, not too expensive. Reasonable for a student like me to go for lunch frequently~=P

Anyway, enjoy the picture after the break~Location map included below.

Restoran Cina Muslim Al-Munawarah @ Seksyen 9, Shah Alam.

or in English, Chinese Muslim Restaurant Al-Munawarah @ Seksyen 9, Shah Alam, Selangor.

Salam,

Ok, just so if you want to know, I love Chinese food so much. They are great. But unfortunately, most of the food served by the Chinese was not Halal. So I had to find other alternative. Instead of going to Chinese restaurant, I go to any Malay restaurant that serve Chinese food.

But this restaurant is a unique one. It was run by the ChineseAlmunawarah Restaurant(eatzme) family that had converted to Islam, Alhamdulillah. We called them a Mualaf. So, I think, wow, that’s cool, maybe I can try some “real” Chinese food without need to worrying of the Halal or Haram of the food.

Anyway, before this, I had reviewed one Chinese food restaurant that served Dim Sum (a popular Chinese food). You may refer the post here.

However, I’m sorry I can’t remember the name of the food post here, I go to this restaurant quite a long time ago, so forget already. huhu~Anyway, just enjoy the Foodtoshoot. Continue reading

Asiari Restaurant, SACC MALL @ Shah Alam

Salam,

Okay, this time I want to review one fine dining restaurant for you to try in Shah Alam. The restaurant are The Asiari Restaurant: Home of Asia’s Best.

The location of the restaurant is at the main entrance of Shah Alam City Centre (SACC) Mall. Me and my friends go to this restaurant because we have some sort of mini dinner for our club. It was just a simple dinner to celebrate our hard work for 1 year term. Anyway, we did have fun there, and so with our stomach, hoho. =D

Surabaya Food Trip – Day 2

So, in the previous post, I had already show you on our first day of the trip to Surabaya. On our second day, we had some journey outside Surabaya main city, to the Apple farm at mount-what-i-not sure,=_=”. I’m so shocked that Indonesia had apple and orange farm you know.

Anyway, the journey of food is getting interesting. Our tourist guide said eating Bakso at the top of the mountain feels great. We tried it, and it really does. yup, when you eat hot food in cozy, windy weather, it feels good you know. But unfortunately I forget to get some picture. Because I was busy eating. Because I was busy taking the panorama image from the mountain. However there are many small stalls selling Bakso there or you may eat it inside the Apple farm, they have restaurant there.

Anyway, I should just proceed with our lunch and Dinner for second day. There was no breakfast because as I said in my first day post, our breakfast is provided by the hotel, so nothing specials there.

So, our lunch on second day was at Restoran Simpang Raya. The menu is, Nasi Padang. Just enjoy the food-toshot.=)
