My Ramadhan Round Up

Salam,

Urgh, it was so hard for me to update my blog due to extreme slowdown of the internet. But nevermind, typical excuse for bloggers, don’t want to talk about it.

Firstly first, I would like to wish my muslim blog reader Happy Eidulfitri and I would like to ask for your forgiveness if I’ve made any wrong to you. I know, it may be too late for me to wish you right now~huhu

Second, I also would like to make an apologize because I failed to update on the Bazaar Ramadhan as I had promised before. But, in this post I will make a round up on the various foods at the Bazaar Ramadhan that I go generally.

In the first day of Ramadhan me and my friends go to Bazaar Ramadhan Seksyen 13. This bazar ramadhan was so famous that I couldn’t buy any food or anything on that day, because there was so many people coming. Because Bazar Ramadhan Seksyen 13 was known to be the biggest Bazar Ramadhan in Malaysia. But I’m not sure whether its true or not. However, I was able to snap some picture. Enjoy the picture below~(warning, massive amount of image)

Surabaya Food Trip – Day 2

So, in the previous post, I had already show you on our first day of the trip to Surabaya. On our second day, we had some journey outside Surabaya main city, to the Apple farm at mount-what-i-not sure,=_=”. I’m so shocked that Indonesia had apple and orange farm you know.

Anyway, the journey of food is getting interesting. Our tourist guide said eating Bakso at the top of the mountain feels great. We tried it, and it really does. yup, when you eat hot food in cozy, windy weather, it feels good you know. But unfortunately I forget to get some picture. Because I was busy eating. Because I was busy taking the panorama image from the mountain. However there are many small stalls selling Bakso there or you may eat it inside the Apple farm, they have restaurant there.

Anyway, I should just proceed with our lunch and Dinner for second day. There was no breakfast because as I said in my first day post, our breakfast is provided by the hotel, so nothing specials there.

So, our lunch on second day was at Restoran Simpang Raya. The menu is, Nasi Padang. Just enjoy the food-toshot.=)

Ayam Penyet RM4.50 @ Seksyen 2, Shah Alam.

Salam,
Okay, before I post on my second day food trip to Surabaya Indonesia, I just want to make short post of one more good and cheap Ayam Penyet restaurant in Shah Alam. Ayam Penyet in Shah Alam is getting famous. A lot of Ayam Penyet restaurant had opened here recently. For example there are Ayam Penyet-AP Shah Alam Branch.

But my post here is not about Ayam Penyet-AP, it was just a small stall at Prima Dua Food Court. If you remember, I had previously made some reviewed on the stall at Prima Dua food court. Yeah, that place was a very famous eating spot for UiTM student.

To avoid the crowd, if possible, please don’t come here during a peak time like lunch or at Dusk (from 6pm till 7pm) time. Seksyen 2 are very pack during that time. Because at that time students had just finished their classes, so they are going to have a meal. and don’t come after 10pm because I think they will be closing.

Anyway, I should just go for the review kot~

Surabaya Food Trip – Day 1.

Or in Malay, Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan di Surabaya, Indonesia – Hari Pertama.

HOLLAAAA!!!!! Yes, my first overseas food journey by me although it was just in Indonesia, hehe~ Yeah, Indonesia was such a great country you know. I’m not very sure about other place like Jakarta or Bandung, but Surabaya is a good place to visit. Despite all the bad image I get before going about the condition in Indonesia, the trip did make the things clear for me. Yes they live in the hardship, poverty is everywhere here, but yet they live happily. How can they live happily like that? From what I see, there are Give and Take attitude and respecting each other among their peoples. =)

Well, that’s what I think about them, you’ll need to go there by yourself to experience it yourself. And most importantly for this blog, my trip to Surabaya or Soerabaia did give me an opportunity to eat some of Indonesian food. Well, in Indonesia, the most famous things in their dishes, is rice. So in my trip, we eat rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And most of the food here is Halal. This may be because of it status as Islamic Country.

Another thing I want to tell you before I made the review, is that all the restaurant that included here was set by our tours agency, therefore I don’t know whether there are other good restaurant here. But I think the food from all the restaurants we visited was good enough to try. Or maybe this review will gives you some thought on what dishes to eat here.

Ok, lets go for the review. So, our arrival at Surabaya in afternoon had made us to go straight for lunch. Our first destination?

Ayam Bakar Primarasa Restaurant, Surabaya Indonesia.

Maybe This is The Best Roti Canai in Ipoh, Perak.

or dalam Bahasa Melayu, Mungkin ini Roti Canai Tersedap di Ipoh, Perak.
Okay, this post title seems like I’m too confidence. Actually maybe yes and maybe not it all depends on your perception. For me, this is the best I’ve tried. I will told you why I said that later, maybe picture is worth to see rather than to say.

Rite, straight to the point, the stall I mention here named Hilmee Stall. It is located at Greentown food court, which is in front of Greentown Mall. It is very easy to go there. Will give you the map at the end of this post.

So, what’s so great about it?
Fuhhh, thats what I can say. The Roti Canai was very soft and Crispy. It was also very fluffy you know. Very like it. When eaten with its kuah, it will complete the dishes. However I like to eat it with the only kuah Sambal, I recommend you that.

The environment of the place is fairly clean. And prices can be considered normal lah. And I would like to remind you that this stall only open in the morning from Monday to Friday only okay, that’s make this stall exclusive or special. And you need to come early because they sold out quite fast.

Hereby I hope you enjoy the photos taken. Continue reading

Kway Teow Kicap @ Restoran Mee Ipoh

or in English, Kway Teow with Soy Sauce @ Mee Ipoh Restaurant, Ipoh.

Wahhhh~ Seems like it had been ages I’m not updating this blog. I’m sooo sorry~ I had to face my unstable feelings recently. So I don’t have the courage to update this blog.

Okay, this semester break, I had finally get the opportunity to had a relaxed holiday in my hometown Ipoh. So I decided to go for some good food to have been known as Ipoh trademark. Last time I had reviewed some best halal Nasi Ayam from Ipoh rite. You may see Here or Here. Okay now I want to review another food that is known very much in Ipoh. The Bee Hoon Soup, Curry Mee and stuff like that. But today, I will not post about Bee hon soup or Curry Mee, but another speciality which is Kway Teow Kicap.

DSCN2116 [eatz.me]

So, my opinion~

Yes, its good. It’s hard to find in another place this type of meal. If you have one, please do tell me~

The condition/ environment of the restaurant is fine~

Price is very reasonable. RM 3.80 per meal. Drink RM1.30.

Anyway, take a look at the picture I took~ Continue reading

Halal Dim Sum @ Jom Cari Makan Restaurant, Damansara

or in Malay Dim Sum Halal @ Restoran Jom Cari Makan.

Yeah, this time I want to review one food which are very famous among Chinese (gosh I love Chinese food) but it is absolutely Halal. It’s because the owner is a Chinese Muslim and he promise the Halal status. And I believe it to be good (thoyyiba) also.

DSCN1860 [eatz.me]

Okay, this restaurant also served other Chinese food which I had forget name of the food specifically, huhu, I’m sorry guys. But later if I come again to the restaurant, I will tell you the name. But in the mean time, you can just come here and look at the menu. There are pictures in the menu or you may ask the waiter, they are really friendly to explain to you the details about the food. Kudos to them for that.

So, what is my opinion for this restaurant? I think, the restaurant is great!! Because before this I really want to taste the famous Dim Sum but unfortunately it is non-halal. Although, maybe, I said maybe, the taste of the Dim Sum is not as same as the real Dim Sum, but nevermind, atleast I already had it.

Erm, for me the other side dishes that been ordered by us is quite exotic. Never for me seen the food before, except for the Beef Black Pepper. So, in my judgement, the food is Good. The environment of the restaurant is also Good. The price, for me it is a normal price in Damansara area. Overall, gave them 5 star. Woot~ Woot~ hoho. Continue reading

Ikan Bakar @ Jalan Bellamy, Kuala Lumpur

or in English, Grilled Fish @ Bellamy Road, Kuala Lumpur.

Actually for this review we go for the Gerai Sri Menanti as we don’t know which is the best. There are several stalls selling ikan bakar. However, I did not said it was a big mistake right? Will give my opinion later.

The restaurant was located very near the Istana Negara (Malaysia King Palace). It was the first restaurant among others. Detail location below.

DSCN0719 [eatz.me]

Ok, so how was the rating. I’ve notice many food bloggers have reviewed and gives opinions on this restaurant. But nevermind, every person have their own opinion rite? And this is just a small review for me to complete the food journey of mine.

For me, the food is good. The fish was nicely grilled. Then served with nice sambal. Overall it was good. There are variety of fish available also, and that you need to come here by urself okay. The environment, nice. Well neat. Price, okay. Not too expensive, normal price. I forgot the real price, mainly for the ikan bakar, it depends on the fish market price.

Anyway, done with my rating, let see the pictures taken: Continue reading
