UNFORTUNATELY THIS RESTAURANT HAD DISCONTINUED THEIR BUSINESS
Salam,
After Thumbs Café, Al-Negra, Mat Periuk, another new (well not really new since I’m quite late in writing this, but yeah~) art café in Ipoh town has arrived, Gomok Café. I’m not really sure why they choose the name, but most probably it is relatable to the word “Gemuk” which means fat. I really happy to see many cafes of this type started to came into pictures because as I said it before, I really love to see Ipoh as a small town that focusing on arts tourism.
The area of Tambun in Ipoh has been known for it’s famous landmarks, the Lost World of Tambun by the local and outsiders. But there are also many nice foodspots you can find here. Recently, I was told by one of my colleague that there are new interesting restaurant in the area of Sunway City, Tambun. As she described the restaurant to be very unique and beautiful, I became a little bit curious to go there.
If you have been or lived in Ipoh recently, you may noticed that there are several new art café being opened here. What is art café? I don’t think there are any specific definition for it but I might just consider it as a hipster and cool place to hang out with friends. The restaurant/café will focusing on arts in their interior design beside serving great foods. I believe this will be a good moves to make and to promote Ipoh town as a place for arts & culture tourism.
Last week I had the opportunity to have Buka Puasa at Casuarina@Meru, Ipoh. It is a new hotel in town. This year they held their first Ramadan Buka Puasa buffet. Since this is their first, maybe we could expect some specialty in their menu.
Lucky last week I had the opportunity to try their buffet, so I snap some picture for you. But before that, I’ll just give my verdict of what I personally thinks with their buffet.
Well, actually this is a veryyyyy old post till I really can’t remember exactly when is the date we go there, lulz~ But anyway, just for a record purposes, I decided to publish this post.
I went there with my housemate and all three of us went there by a night train from Kuala Lumpur Sentral station. To cut things short, we arrived at Lumut Jetty at 9.00 AM. Then after we bought our ferry ticket *The ferry time frequency is every 1 hour*, we went for breakfast at the stall nearby.
