Cendol Bismillah @ Taiping, Perak

Okay, this Cendol stall may have been known by many Taiping-ians or maybe Perakians. It has been there since long time ago, where the business had be passed through the family descendants.

The cendol is good~I like the cendol with pulut, so nice~There are also Pesembur (Like Rojak) sold here for you to try on. Normal cendol only comes with the Green Cendol. Better to take the Red Beans or Pulut as the add on. For normal Cendol, it is RM1.20 for the big size (better to order for big size for satisfaction~), RM1.30 with Red Beans, RM1.40 with Pulut and RM1.50 with both of it. So the price is quite cheap rite??

Ok, the location is after the break~ Enjoy the picture first:

Nasi Lemak Langkawi @ Langkawi Kedah

Salam, yeah, after long time went back from Langkawi I had no time to update the food there into this blog because of many pending food post I have to do first. At this time only I have the time to post the food I eat in Langkawi.

As had been mention before, I had went for holidays to 4 states in Malaysia in 3 weeks, Malacca, Johore, Langkawi (Kedah) and Penang. Before this I had review 1 famous food in Johore which is Mee Rebus Haji Wahid.

My trip to all this place may not bring much result for the food destination as I didn’t plan for the holidays and I have short of time to research the best and famous place. But nevermind, I still learning to becoming the better food Traveller aka blogger.

~~~~~~~~Ok finish with my celoteh~ Lets go for the food review.~~~~~~~~~
Nasi Lemak Langkawi [eatz.me]
Ok, this time I want to review the food for your breakfast in Langkawi Island. The food is Nasi Lemak. For your information, Nasi Lemak is one of Malay traditional food that very famous between Malaysians. It is made from rice cooked with santan (coconut milk). But this Langkawi Nasi Lemak is not as usual Nasi Lemak as you can get in other place. I don’t know whether it is Nasi Lemak or Nasi Minyak, but when I asked one of the hawker they said it is Nasi Lemak and when I ask another, it said Nasi Whatever-You-Want-To-Called-It. So I decided to called it Nasi Lemak as it was served in the morning for breakfast only. So you must come here morning, for breakfast only okay~
Anyway, the taste is good. You may choose the side-dishes. I choose for the “Ayam Merah”(Red Cooked Chicken) and “Sotong Merah” (Red Cooked Squid). Yes the taste is good. I recommend you to try it.
But, unfortunately, the price is quite overprice. My one the Nasi with Ayam and Sotong as the side plus Kopi ‘o’ (Coffee), is RM7!!! huhu~ But the taste is good lah~ If you want to taste it its okay~huhu. So for the overall result, I gave them 3 star if not for the overprice.
The location of the stall is near the Haji Ismail Group and SAGA Shopping Complex. You may refer the map HERE @Wikimapia.
Ministry Launch Malaysian Food Website.
First post on news. All news here will be regarding of all things that related with food. Ok, recently the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia had launched the official Government of Malaysia website regarding Food. The website is called Fabulous Food 1 Malaysia. And it can be reached here.
malaysian food websiteThe website promotes Malaysian foods to the outsiders. Taking the quotation from the website:
Malaysia is a haven for anyone who simply enjoys delicious food.
This statement is a true. We have variety of foods here in Malaysia. It was so many until you have a problem to choose what you want to eat here. But, unfortunately, this website only promotes 3 types of Malaysian traditional foods. What about others?
We have a lot~ Not only Nasi Lemak, Laksa and Bak Kut Teh. We also have the famous Roti Canai which maybe known as originally came from India, but who cares? Thats is also our cultural foods~ Malaysia maa~ We have Malay, Chinese, India, Singh, etc here. We eat what we can eat together. Malay eat Roti Canai, Chinese eat Roti Canai, India eat Roti Canai. And all of us eat at what we call Mamak Stall~ So there should be no problem on where the foods come from because we can eat harmoniously here. There are also other example that I need not to mention here.
But nevermind. Maybe this is a good step by the Government to promotes what are special in Malaysia that we can’t get anywhere, foods~ Btw, you may suggest best Nasi Lemak or Laksa or Bak Kut Teh in Malaysia at this website.
Aniwei~ Thats all folks~ Thanks for reading~ Your comment and opinion are well appreciated~
Haji Wahid Mee Rebus @ Plaza Angsana, Johor.
Hj. Wahid Mee Rebus@Plaza Angsana, Johor[eatz.me]
Yosh~ Sorryyy for the late update~I’m at Pulau Pinang now for my family holiday~Yeah, straight holidays~ Melaka and Johore with my gf, Langkawi with my friends and Penang with my family, within 2 weeks okay~So I’m really tired travelling for the Cuti-cuti Malaysia. Okay, straight to the point, I will review all the food’s one by one okay. Please bare with me patiently~
Orait, this time I will review one of traditional food in Johore which is the famous Haji Wahid Mee Rebus. The stall is located at Plaza Angsana, Skudai, Johor Baharu. Map HERE. One of my friends told me that it has branches at Stulang, Johor near the Open University but when I checked it, it has been closed already~huhu.
I’m not sure for the opening time of the stall, but I go there on Wednesday night and it’s open. So I assume that it will open on weekdays and weekend but not sure for the hours~As it is a foodcourt, I assume it open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Erm, for me the food is good. THIS IS A MUST TRY if come to Johor. The kuah is nice. And it has something crispy on it~Just look at the picture and I’m sure you will like it~I give them 4 star, if not for the place. But who cares, it shows the originality and identity of the stall~And the price is quite cheap, RM3.50 per meal.Neway, enjoy the picture~
